#2. My answers were pretty similar both times I answered. My first answer had more to do with incorporating the real world and adding real images to my artwork. My second answer had more to do with making sure the object/thing you were drawing looks like the real object/thing and the features are very detailed. I also stated in my second answer that it helps to be looking directly at something and not trying to create art just based off memory of the object/thing. Both my answers had to do with your artwork being more realistic.
#3. For this question my answers were almost exactly the same but there is a little bit of difference. My first answer stated that copying is not always plagiarism because you can take someones idea and put your own spin on it to make it yours. My second answer stated that copying isn't always plagiarism because you can steal an piece of art and change something about it that will make it unique and your own work. Both of my answers stated that you can take someones work and make it your own and it won't be plagiarism.
#5. For my first answer I said artistic style was different ways to create art such as, painting, drawing, and photography. For my second answer I said artistic style was the particular way you create art such as sloppy, neat, if you only use certain colors or lines. My answers were pretty similar to each other. My answers were pretty different too because for one I said it was the medium you used and the other answer was about the way you used to mediums.
#7. My answers for this question were almost the same but theres a little bit of a difference. My first answer said that the point of this was class was to get your creativity flowing and to be able to create something that expresses yourself. My second answer was that I learned how to make art using different mediums and styles, and I also learned different ways to express myself. The difference between my answers were one answer I talked more about expressing myself and the second one I talked more about how I learned how to make different art.
I did a reindeer painting that was inspired by "A Christmas Dinner". I chose to do reindeer because reindeer are happy, unlike the person in the painting who looked depressed and lonely. The baby reindeer and the momma reindeer are joyous and together in the wonderful snow filled forest, in the frosty Alaskan Tundra.
We destroyed thus stencil in 2 ways. It was originally white before we spray painted it red over and over again. The second way we destroyed it was by ripping it apart. I started just playing with the hardened spray paint but eventually destroyed it by continuously ripping it apart.
For our group project we made a poster that said "what is your dream" and then people could write what their dream was on the available space. I helped with this project by cutting out some of the stencils and doing some of the spray painting. Sadly people did not participate how we expected them too and they wrote inappropriate things for their dream.
This is my final product of artists solve problems. My problem that I overcame was only using skittles to complete this. I worked through the obstacle of sometimes misplacing skittles and having to unglue them and sometimes cracking the skittles. Yes, I tried something new and risky for this project because i really wasn't sure how it would turn out but I took the risk and did it anyway.
The word I chose for illustration friday is puppet. I chose this because I love puppets and I wanted to draw a hand puppet.
I might answer "Is copying okay?" differently now that I've done artists steal because copying is okay if you copy something and transform it to make it your own. For my character remix project I used Dumbo but I changed some of his colors and made him have glasses. My final project is Pots and PANdas. I cut apart a panda and glue it to a pot so the body of the panda was the pot.
For this project I decided to paint a horse, because I have always really liked horses. I think my skills have improved greatly with painting because I had to blend the colors and paint to create the right texture. I had never used a sponge before when I was painting but now I have and it was cool to use a different item, rather than just a brush. The different shades of the horse really made me more skilled in painting because I had to match the colors and textures.
